Gene’s RPG Campaign

Aspen, Eric, Evan and I met and discussed the upcoming campaign I said I’d run. Here are some questions raised and what we settled on.

What System?

5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons. The general feeling was that something less number-crunchy than Pathfinder would be much appreciated.

When Shall We Meet?

My first suggestion is 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 2pm to 6pm. Now, there are potentially nine players that will be involved and I don’t think I can run satisfying campaign for nine people so it’s possible that some people might not be able to participate in a game session. With that in mind, anyone who misses the 2nd Sunday gets preference for the 4th Sunday.

None of this is set in stone. If another time or a different set of weekends works better, we can most likely adjust.

Where Shall We Meet?

Guardian Games has rooms you can rent! For $5 an hour we can have the Dungeon! It holds up to eight people. For $2 an hour we can have the Crypt, but that holds four.

Also not set in stone.

Of course, if anyone wants to host, that is always appreciated.

Tell Us Of This Campaign You Want To Run…

The coastal city of [Name To Be Determined] has many enemies to worry about. Most pressingly there is a necromancer that is trying to subvert and infiltrate the city’s ruler. Not far away there is a high priest bent on world domination, and that never works out well for those caught up in their plans. There’s more, of course. Those are just the highlights.

The charming merchant, Klaus Gevaar, will serve as your guide as you find your bearings in the mysterious city of [Name To Be Determined]. He knows people everywhere including guards in the city still loyal to the crown and members of the underworld where one goes to find spies, smugglers, and… other.

When Do We Begin?

I propose that we meet at 2pm on October 27th at Guardian Games to create characters. So… 2hrs?

For that meeting I would like you to have two things prepared. 1) What kind of character do you want to play? and 2) What are your characters goals?

This isn’t set in stone, either.
